Soon it’s Halloween! It’s time to dress up in scary costumes and go trick-or-treating!
This time, though, I won’t be going as a ladybug. This year it’s supposed to be scary! I’m so excited!
A few days ago, when Sixten and I were at the lake looking for driftwood, we met Dagmar Ente. Dagmar loves Halloween! She thinks El Día de los Muertos is even better, but if I don’t want to go as a skeleton, why not as an evil witch?
Somehow, the duck seemed to have taken her idea to heart and flew in yesterday with a pot of green makeup. Sure enough, she came around the corner like a rocket and gave me the creeps! But a thick brush was plugging her beak, otherwise her incessant chattering would have warned me of her approach long ago.
I couldn’t say no! And to be honest, I thought her idea was fabulous. What fun!
I decided to dress up as the Wicked Witch of the West from “The Wizard of Oz” – which, by the way, has been one of my favorite movies since childhood! – but because it made us so happy, we started thinking about what other creepy green characters there were.

I thought our Hulk was the coolest! He may have a hard time controlling his anger and aggression, but he fights for justice and only gets angry at people who treat others unfairly and meanly.
But it’s really cold outside. I’d end up as Ice Cube in this costume. Well, gangster rappers probably aren’t exactly the friendliest people either.

Hmm, Fiona Shrek also failed. She’s not scary at all. She’s actually a hero, brave and courageous, and can defend herself from villains.
I couldn’t think of any more green characters. ”Or you can dress up as a drake! These villains also have green heads and can be truly scary when they’re having a bad day! ” the duck quacked, “Haha! Super villain Drake! ” she continued chattering and so the Wicked Witch of the West remains my favorite for now.

But it’s not over yet, and I’ll tell you which Halloween costume I finally decided on.
