Hej friends!
Today I’m launching a call for my first doll pattern test sewing! I’m so excited, and what if no one wants to participate?
Now I’m delighted that a few people have already signed up to do a test sewing project, including Susi from Pastellpink, Doreen from Dekoreen Berlin and VivaVivi crafts, which I find incredibly exciting but which also makes me doubt myself again: am I doing everything right?
No, probably not, but that’s the point! I’ve created a ton of patterns over the past few years, which I’ve essentially given away, but with the certainty that they weren’t necessarily professionally made.
Here are a few examples and there are a few more:

Now I would like to gradually digitize my patterns, improve them, and prepare them in a way that is understandable and user-friendly for everyone, and that is exactly where I need your support.
Who would like to try out my pattern for the cat doll “Miss Kitten”?

It’s the little cat doll “Miss Kitten,” and she’s part of my Dear Cousin Stories – Stories from Sweden. I don’t want to say anything more about that now, but if you’re curious, you can still take a look.
The doll pattern comes with a detailed sewing instruction, and isn’t actually that complicated. However, you might not be a complete beginner, as it requires basic sewing machine skills. If you’re up for it, I’d be thrilled if anyone could join in!
I don’t care if you have a blog and post photos of your work online. Of course, I’m generally happy about that, but it’s not a requirement to participate in the test sewing for the cloth doll. However, I would like your permission to share pictures of your cat dolls.
I also hope that you don’t hold back on constructive criticism so that I can also improve.
Now some more information about the organization:
Since I know how everyday life swallows up time, I would like to give you some more information in this regard. Please only register to participate if you really have time.
- I’ll send you the pattern and tutorial over the next week. Then you’ll have 2 weeks to sew the cat and give me feedback. It takes me about half a day to sew the stuffed cat, so I think you’ll have plenty of time.
- I don’t want to stress anyone out with deadlines, but of course, the faster you sew your doll, the faster I’ll know what I need to work on.
- I will create an FB group so that we can exchange ideas as easily as possible. This way I can respond to your questions at any time and we can all exchange ideas in one place
- At the end, anyone who wants to can give away the pattern
- and apart from that, the whole thing should just be fun 🎉
That’s it! 🤗
