Hi friends!
Today marks the start of my long-awaited call for the pattern test sewing of my boy doll “Sixten”.
Long awaited, because my plan was to hold the test sewing in September. But it’s like being bewitched and sewn up. Since we came back from our vacation in Sweden in the summer, nothing has been going the way I want it to. I can’t seem to get out of vacation mode, because no matter what it’s about, I’m always late somehow.
Instead of September, it became November and now Christmas is just around the corner. Christmas elves and bell ringers simply have priority and I realize that the timing is not the most convenient. Nevertheless. I’ve been talking about it for so long now and this project is close to my heart, but I’d rather not take it into next year.

So I’ll just let myself be surprised if anyone finds the time and muse to take part in my sample sewing of my boy doll “Sixten”. I would definitely be delighted, because constructive criticism is so important to make the pattern and sewing instructions understandable for everyone.
In addition, the test sewing of the stuffed cat “Miss Kitten” and the stuffed doll “Anneli” resulted in such magical little personalities! I am so thrilled with how creatively my pattern tester have realized my patterns. Seeing their cute dolls really made me happy 😍
Check out the test sewing gallery if you want to see more of the great handmade dolls!

This time I want to test sew the boy doll “Sixten” and therefore I am looking for cheerful, motivated and friendly test sewers who have the time and desire to participate ❤️
Information on when, how and where can be found further down in the article.
The pattern for the rag doll comes with detailed sewing instructions. It’s actually not that difficult to sew the little guy, but you shouldn’t be a complete beginner as it requires at least basic sewing machine skills. You also need a bit of patience, as it can get a bit fiddly – after all, Sixten isn’t the biggest rag doll.
Are you up for it? Then I’m really happy about everyone who takes part!

Now some more information about the organization:
- You can apply until Monday, November 21, 2022
- You will be informed by email by November 22 at the latest who is taking part
- The prerequisite for participating is your consent that I may use and post images that you provide me with
- Of course, I think it’s great if you also show your own handmade doll on various social media. But it is not a must if you are not on social media
- I would like to have the first feedback after a week so that I can implement it straight away. It takes me about one working day to sew the rag doll, so I think you’ll have enough time.
- You have 2 weeks from the start to complete your doll. Then the results will be shown and everyone who wants to can raffle off a pattern.
- I will create an FB group so that we can exchange ideas as easily as possible. That way I can respond to questions from your side at any time and we can all exchange ideas in one pot.
- I also hope that you don’t be stingy with constructive criticism so that I can also improve the pattern.
- and apart from that, the whole thing should just be fun 🎉
Leave me a comment if you would like to take part despite the Christmas rush 🤗
I look forward to you! ❤️
